VIII Civil forum has started in Astana


On 27-28 November, Astana will host the VIII Civil Forum of Kazakhstan in which Astana International Financial Center has participated along with 13 central government agencies, ministries, departments, NGOs and public organizations.

Mr.Yernur Rysmagambetov, AIFC Authority Managing Director and Board Member, took part in the session on ‘Inclusive Growth and Economic Transformations’. The hot topics on human development, vocational education and new approaches to financial sustainability and literacy were discussed. In his speech, the speaker mentioned three key aspects on the way to implement the SDGs on the basis of the AIFC: ensuring equal education opportunities, access to professional knowledge, stimulation the transition to sustainable development of the economy and alternative energy.

“Within the framework of the implementation of the capital development concept, the AIFC Bureau has been successfully implementing continuing professional development programs in the field of green and Islamic finance, asset management, risk management, fintech based on the best international practices and global professional certifications. Moreover, we work to promote the investment literacy among the population, and also work with young people in order to ensure fair access to those demanded in the market for knowledge and competencies. We have a special Career Center, which is engaged in the employment of specialists in the financial ecosystem, including international participants,” summed up Y. Rysmagambetov.

In the session: “Global Partnership for Sustainable Development, Mobilization of Resources, Technologies, Capacity Building, Trade” has participated Aidar Kazybayev, Managing Director of the AIFC Authority.

The forum participants discussed the draft Concept of the development of civil society institutions for the period from 2020 to 2025. The main objective of the forum is the development of open markets, government bodies, business structures, international organizations and the expert community for the formation of a modern civil society. Within the framework of the Forum, 35 thematic sessions were held in the format of seminars, master classes, round tables, discussion platforms, industry meetings with heads of ministries and departments.
