On October 9-11, 2018, the World Cup of Student Entrepreneurship - ENACTUS WORLD CUP 2018 was held in San Jose, USA.
The delegation of Kazakhstan, consisting of 40 people, joined the global Enactus family, whose members are from 35 different universities and countries; and represented our country in the big event in front of the 3500 current and future leaders, business innovators and social entrepreneurs.



Astana International Financial Center and the Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilev signed a Memorandum of understanding and cooperation. The document was signed by Kairat Kelimbetov, AIFC Governor, and Yerlan Sydykov, Rector of ENU.


The priority areas of cooperation between the Parties will be provision of training for specialists in the fields of Islamic finance, banking, capital markets, asset management, financial technology and human capital development.



The start of aaoifi seminar

The seminar for the “Certified Islamic Professional Accountant” (CIPA) qualification has started yesterday, on 8th of October. It was organized by the Bureau for Continuing Professional Development in partnership with AAOIFI - a Bahrain based non-profit Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions.


Culmination of Islamic Finance Week of 2018 - Islamic Finance Day

The second annual Islamic Finance Week Conference on Islamic Finance of the AIFC Bureau for Continuing Professional Development, opened on October 7 in Astana. The agenda of this year's professional event raises the most pressing issues on the development of the Islamic finance industry in Kazakhstan and around the world, and also creates an interactive platform for industry professionals, academic and business circles in order to create infrastructure on the basis of the Astana International Financial Centre.

On October 6, the Investor’s Day conference opened in Astana with the participation of representatives of the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) and international experts, organized by the AIFC Bureau for Continuing Professional Development.


RISK management workshop in almaty

In the framework of the World Investor Week 2018, the AIFC Bureau in collaboration with the international company Razor Risk Management held a seminar on risk management at Alma University (Almaty). The main topic of the seminar was the theory of credit and interest rate risk assessment and management. International trainers from the London-based company shared their own experience and practical knowledge using special software.


Bureau victory in nomination “Initiatives for the Development of Human Capital” in GIFA award

The AIFC Bureau for CPD received the prestigious Global Islamic Finance Awards (GIFA) award in the nomination “Initiatives for the Development of Human Capital” in the field of Islamic finance.

The eighth ceremony of the prestigious award of the Islamic world was held in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. This event annually brings together heads of state and government of various countries, as well as representatives of international Islamic financial institutions.


THE START OF Islamic finance week AND INCEIF TOT

AIFC Bureau for Continuing Professional Development is happy to announce the beginning of the annual Islamic Finance Week 2018! The first event of the week is the intensive training course for trainers on Islamic Finance - INCEIF Training of Trainers. During four days, from 3 to 6 October, the invited experts, Dr. Ziyaad Mahomed and Ezamshah Ismail, will acquaint participants with the main modules of the Professional Certificate in Islamic Finance (PCIF) and general teaching methods.



Today the AIFC Bureau for CPD in cooperation with the Lincoln Conferences held an Info-Session on prestigious international certifications for HR specialists by HR Certification Institute (HRCI).



The "Jeti Jalyn" project, initiated by Youth Congress of Kazakhstan, has been launched on September 17. Yernur Rysmagambetov, Managing Director, Management Board Member of the Astana International Financial Centre Authority, has attended the event along with government officials and public figures of Kazakhstan. During the presentation, Yernur shared his success story, discussed opportunities for continuing professional development and gave advice to young specialists. "The Jeti Jalyn" project is aimed on promotion of success stories of young Kazakhstanis.
